Why We Built This Tool
Turning recordings into text can be time-consuming, whether you're reviewing a meeting, studying a lecture, or organizing voice memos. We built TigScript to make transcription simpler, with a straightforward browser-based workflow and convenient text exports.
Privacy Matters in the AI Era
As AI becomes more common, people have good reasons to think carefully about the data they share online. Personal recordings and work conversations can contain sensitive information. Users should have more control over that information, not less.
That belief shapes how we build our tool. Audio is processed directly on your device in your browser rather than uploaded to our servers. The first time you use the converter, your browser downloads an AI model and caches it so later sessions start faster. Loading the page and the speech engine still requires network access.
We believe AI tools should be useful without asking users to give up unnecessary control over their data. Privacy should be considered from the start, not treated as an afterthought.
What We Value
We focus on practical features, clear instructions, and honest information about what our tools can and cannot do. AI transcription isn't perfect: background noise, accents, and overlapping speech can affect results. When accuracy matters, we encourage users to review the transcript against the original recording.
